To abide by all legal requirements and building security rules, you may be asked to provide a copy of your official government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact information, provide a valid credit card with a name that matches your ID, pass through our verification portal and, in some instances, complete a criminal background check.

Set on the west side of town, this is the quiet approach to Sandpoint:
• Downtown Sandpoint, 2.3 miles for restaurants, shops, galleries and the farmers market
• Pine Street woods, walking distance for hiking, snowshoeing and Nordic trails
• Lake Pend Oreille and the Sandpoint city beach, a short drive for swimming, paddling and boat launches
• Schweitzer Mountain Resort, roughly 30 minutes for downhill and cross country skiing
• Silverwood Theme Park, approximately 30 miles south

Trailheads start close enough to walk to. In winter you can snowshoe toward the cross country ski area straight from the property.

The guest house, entry porch and parking pad are yours for the stay, with a private entrance and keyless self check in. Detailed arrival instructions are sent 24 hours before your stay. The owners' residence sits on the same property, set apart with its own driveway approach.

Compact by design and finished to a high standard, this 991 square foot guest house lives larger than its footprint.

• Main Level: Open living, dining and kitchen under 10 foot ceilings. Full kitchen with range, oven, dishwasher, and an island with seating. The living room opens to the trees. A bedroom with a full over twin bunk bed sits off the main space, with a full bath and tub shower alongside. An entry bench and shelf near the door keeps boots and gear out of the way.
• Upper Loft Suite: Reached by an open stair, the upper level holds a queen bed, a private bath with walk in shower, and a covered balcony looking out to the forest and mountains. It is the quiet end of the house.
• Outside: Landscaped grounds, outdoor furniture, patio lounge chairs, and a covered entry porch. A paved pad holds two vehicles.

Stair Access, Upper Loft The upper loft suite is reached by an open stair. Guests who prefer to avoid stairs can use the main level bedroom and full bath, both of which are on the entry level.

Other Things to Note
• This home is considered a DADU (Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit), and it sits on a larger property that includes a larger home where the owners live which is not part of this rental. While it's unlikely you may see and / or interact with the property owners during your stay.
• Main house grounds and parking area are not part of the guest access

Driving is easiest here. The paved pad fits two vehicles, and we ask that guests park on the pad only. Downtown Sandpoint is a five minute drive, and the mountain, lake access and trailheads are all short drives from the door.
