When you sign up for the host partnership program, you will be running your own Recreation branded vacation rental listings. They are your properties and your owners, with your own operations staff to handle the day to day, and you’re getting the benefit of Recreation’s systems and processes to optimize your business.

In short, you handle the guests, communicate with your owners and manage your staff. We handle marketing and managing your listing, revenue management, accounting and reconciliation, providing preferred pricing with vendors, training on how to be a top performing host, and the systems and processes to get you there. 

We provide members of our host partnership program with a world-class technology stack that we facilitate on your behalf to manage your listing on a day to day basis. We also provide you with training, policies and procedures to set you up with everything you need to be a vacation rental host and take great care of your guests.

The Recreation brand, channel management, revenue management, exclusive supplier purchasing arrangements with preferential prices on everything you need to run a short term rental business plus dedicated support to help scale and grow your business. 

We don’t charge any start up fees but you should expect there to be some costs to set up your business including filing fees to register your company with your state/county, business insurance and any supplies needed for your day to day operation like cleaning and guest supplies. And, as a Host Partner, we’ll help you through all of this and make it as easy as possible.

No, it’s not required, but you should speak with a legal expert to determine the best options for your individual needs. Our goal is to provide vacation rental hosts with the tools and support they need to start and grow their business. You could be new to the industry or a veteran with multiple properties looking to optimize their time and operation. 

As a host, you will earn a percentage commission on every booked room night plus the guest-paid cleaning fee.

You get to decide how much to charge the guests for the cleaning fee, however, we will work with you to ensure it’s in line with the market, so it’s not too little or too much. 

When you join the Host Partnership Program, we will work with you to determine how you want to grow your business. Once we outline your goals, we’ll work on a plan to achieve them. 

Recreation has a criteria for the types of homes that we manage. This ensures that our guests get a consistent experience when they stay with us. We also actively market to homeowners as part of our growth strategy. When a lead comes to us that fits your goals and meets our brand standards, we will work with the homeowner and you to finalize a contract and add it to your hosted portfolio.
