Property was very nice and cozy, great for a Homebase to go do stuff, or to hang out at.
Negative:
Would have been nice for a few more parking options, as well as making it clear parking on the street outside the home counts towards the car limit in the driveway. That way your trip isn’t interrupted by multiple emails and phone calls. That was the only negative thing about our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay in Unit 12 of the Hi-Tide resort. I was a bit nervous because our unit had no reviews on Airbnb, and I had never been to Moclips before, so there were a lot of unknowns.
We really had a lovely stay. To start with, the communication of the host was very positive and prompt, even though I may have tried their patience with many questions.
We arrived after office hours, and instructions to find our keys and then our unit were very clear.
When we arrived our unit was warmly lit and welcoming with the fireplace lit up.
The decor is cozy, beachy, and feels recently updated. We had pretty much everything we needed. The view from our deck was outstanding, and access to the beach and Moclips river was amazingly close. The feeling of being in a quiet getaway off the beaten path was unique. Highly recommend.
Accessibility note, although this is a lower level unit, access is up a flight of stairs from parking.
My partner and I reserved this spot for ourselves and our in-laws for a 3 day getaway on the sound. The space was the perfect size for two couples and two toddlers. Think “beach cabin” vibes. The kitchen is well appointed and the detached patio is amazing for dinners prepared in it. The bedrooms are smaller, but still provide ample space and having three of them is optimal. We walked on the beach and saw deer, seals, snakes, birds, and all kinds of sea critters when the tide was low. The kiddos even swam at the beach just over the bluff from the cabin. The stairs are sturdy and safe to get down to the water. I ESPECIALLY enjoyed my morning coffee on the patio watching the mist roll out and the sun coming up to awaken the bay. Very good stay, worth the price, I totally recommend this spot for a tranquil quiet getaway.
This was our second stay at this wonderful property, and after our earlier visit, it’s the first place we check for availability when visiting family in Seattle. The home is light and airy, spotlessly clean, and stocked with everything you might need for a comfortable stay, including an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen and in-unit laundry. The WiFi is fast and reliable, and there’s even a separate office upstairs. The beds are comfortable, and the showers lovely. The sauna is a nice touch. The location is unbeatable. While the neighborhood itself is peaceful and quiet, the coffee shops, restaurants, and nightlife of the Ballard business district are just a short walk or drive away. Adam and his team at Recreation Stays are outstanding hosts. Our booking was confirmed quickly, and they responded within a few minutes to every email or text message. Check-in and check-out were effortless. Throughout, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We will be back.
Thanks for the worry free week in Seattle. Absolutely nothing to complain about here. Exceptionally clean, in a quiet neighborhood, with more than enough space for our two couples. We particularly enjoyed relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the view of the ship channel, between trips to the numerous nearby attractions. Roku TV provided ample selection of entertainment during down time. Communications before, during, and after the trip were excellent. Cannot overstate how appreciated the off-street parking was! Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.
