We enjoyed our stay overall. The house was cozy, the beds were comfortable, and the location was fantastic—being able to walk directly from the house onto the beach was convenient, and one of our favorite features was being so close to the ocean and just looking at it.
One thing to be aware of is that the home has several changes in floor level with steps throughout the interior. These were a bit challenging, especially upon arrival. One guest tripped immediately upon entering because there was an unexpected step down right inside the front door, and she was carrying items, which prevented her from catching herself.
We also found that cell phone service was limited. We had both Verizon and AT&T users in our group, and neither carrier had reliable reception at the house, so we depended on the Wi-Fi for phone calls and communication.
Overall, the home’s comfort, beach access, and location made for a very enjoyable stay.
We stayed late May into June for a weekend prior to leaving for an Alaskan cruise. We wanted something a little farther away from Seattle as we are fans of the mountains. This place fit the bill. It fit our family of five well. The cabin was clean, bathrooms well maintained and kitchen was stocked. The loft area was perfect for our teenage son where he could have his own space. If I was to point out any negatives, it would be the game room downstairs could use a little freshening up and the cabin is really close to the highway so it is a little loud outside the cabin but I would guess this would be more of a summer problem and traffic is likely much less in fall and winter months. We didn’t hear any traffic noise inside the cabin.
The house and surroundings are absolutely incredible. Amazing views, stunning yet comfortable interior, and close to lots of hikes. There were 4 adults and a toddler staying at the home and it was very spacious for us. If anything, the place is undersold because we were pleasantly surprised by the Mt. Baker views from nearly all rooms. Would absolutely return. We had an issue with the WiFi early on but the management company was great about helping us troubleshoot it and ultimately two people were able to work remotely from the home with no issues.
