What Our Guests Say

My two kids and I had a wonderful stay at this home. The neighborhood is quiet and warm and close to a bus stop that whisks you downtown in no time. The house itself is clean and well-organized, with space to relax after a day’s adventures and a kitchen and dining room that made it easy to prepare meals for my kids. The host was kind and responsive and all instructions were clear. I highly recommend this home for a Seattle visit!

Enjoy the old architecture and the effort to maintain the buildings. The parking deck across the street was very convenient. The security was good. Being on the 4th floor (great location) and having a modern elevator was great! It is a very old building and the character was maintained. The brick walls, the original flooring were complemented by a modern kitchen, modern bathroom. This section of Frankfort is a great location to set off for exploring the Bourbon Trail. Buffalo Trace (our favorite) is less than a 5 minute drive. Restaurants are all within walking. No parking problem because our car was in the parking deck. People are very friendly, conversations abound. We will be back.

This is a newly constructed dado in a walkable neighborhood with plenty of street parking. The linens and towels were all clean and soft, and we especially appreciated the sauna followed by a cold shower. It was also great to have laundry. And while we didn’t cook, it appears the place had all that we would have needed. Also, the neighbors are very friendly. The host was super quick to respond to any questions we had which was great.

The home was as described. The pictures were very accurate. The home was clean and a great space for what we needed. We were a little disappointed to learn the home did not have an A/C unit. The listing does not list A/C as an amenity, so it was an oversight on my part. Just coming from Louisiana, A/C is necessary and not considered an amenity. I will be sure to ask questions next time. Sleeping with the windows open made it bearable as the temperatures dropped into the 60’s at night, but being a light sleeper, that wasn’t ideal. The neighborhood is quiet and would definitely book again during cooler temperatures.

This is an amazing place! The house is perfect, just as described, very modern but also very warm and cozy. It is ideally located close to North Cascades National Park.

Positive: Location was beautiful and quiet. Lots of room. Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen. Fun things to do, like ping-pong and a fire pit. Would definitely recommend and return. Negative: Suggestions: The ground floor was uncomfortably cold while the upstairs was normal. Seems like the AC wasn’t calibrated correctly. Description of property should include more specifics on where exactly the bathrooms are located and which rooms share a bathroom. When I booked, it sounded like each bedroom had a bathroom. And the kitchen bathroom needs a fan!! Squeaky bedroom doors need oil. Double double room downstairs needs a large bedside table between them. Late afternoon sun glare in living room-needs shades.

In town for an event. Just an overnight stay, but well worth it. The St Clair was perfect. Absolute privacy and quiet but close enough to downtown Frankfort. Put the car keys on the counter and walked everywhere. Dining, drinks, entertainment, history, nature – all within walking distance. The space is more than a hotel but less than a house. Perfect for overnight or longer stays. Well equipped. We skipped the parking garage and used street parking. There is plenty of space, especially on the weekend.

This was a room for people traveling with me for business. They were impressed with the space and had a lot of fun in downtown Frankfort, eating, walking around town, and hanging at the Irish Pub in the evening. We will be back!

One of the nicest and most charming places we have stayed. The location in Ballard is great, and parking was very easy. It’s walking distance to Sunset Hill Park and the top of Golden Gardens, and an easy drive to all of the rest of the attractions and restaurants in the area. The unit itself was excellent and exactly as described. Everything is very well maintained. The office room was convenient for getting a bit of work done with reliable WiFi, and the sauna was a really nice bonus. Thanks, and I would definitely stay here again!

We were only there for a night, but the St. Clair was perfect for a quick stop over in Frankfort. The historic building was beautiful, and the space was exactly as described. If you are a light sleeper definitely bring ear plugs and a sleep mask, old buildings can definitely be a bit noisy!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at St Clair. We stayed Saturday-Monday and left on Tuesday morning. The space was modern and comfortable. The Street Noise on Saturday evening made it difficult to sleep after a long day of driving but the space had a little sleep machine which helped and the noise didn’t last too late. There weren’t many businesses open for shopping in the downtown area the days we were there but we had planned to tour a couple of distilleries and made a trip to Louisville and went through Churchill Downs during our stay and it was nice to have a home base to relax in the evenings. The only negative was when we were ready to check out and I stripped the bed linens for cleaning and the mattress cover had stains on it. I wanted to believe it had been cleaned and the stains just didn’t come out prior to our stay but even so there should have been a new one put on the mattress. I reported it and was told they would contact the cleaning staff. Overall a good stay.

Ryan is a very kind and professional host. He kindly accepted my last-minute booking, for which I am truly grateful. The room is equipped with all the basic essentials for daily living. The only things I wished for were a hairdryer and some hangers. I also greatly appreciated being provided with a bath towel. The shared kitchen, bathroom/shower, and toilet were very clean, never crowded, and comfortable to use. The two laundry machines were a bit confusing at first due to inconsistent pricing and a coin changer that didn’t work, but with a Bank of America nearby, exchanging coins wasn’t a problem. They were also never busy, so I could use them comfortably. I had an issue with many small flies in the room, and moths would get in through the vent, even when it was closed. Overall, this is a very commendable place to stay. I would gladly stay here again whenever I have plans in Eugene. Thank you for this time.

Overall, a good experience. The location is good, and the price was right. While I stayed there, things were very peaceful and all the other guests were respectful of quiet hours. Please be aware that all the parking in street parking and if you’re there before 6pm or after 7am, you’ll either have to feed the meter or find a 2-hour parking zone and watch the clock. The only downside was housekeeping: I was there for over a week and the garbage in the kitchen was only thrown away once – it started getting a bit stinky after a few days. And on the second day I was there, someone threw… something… away in one of the showers. It was still there a week later, along with a note some other guest left asking people to be more respectful of common areas. These were not unbearable problems though. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. I’ll be back again the next time I need temporary lodging in Eugene!

I would like to thank Recreation Stays for creating such a cozy environment. I vacationed with my girlfriend and we really enjoyed it. I would also like to note that the house itself is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. I would also like to mention, if anyone is interested: There is a Ukrainian grocery store with a good restaurant 2 miles from the house. We went there and everything was delicious. The house is spacious and perfect for a couple’s getaway!

What an incredible place to stay. It is a very private and peaceful home, with a view to die for. On a sunny day you can clearly see the Cascade mountains, and the views are stunning. A great couples get away if you you want peace and quiet with no distractions. The Island is full of quaint small towns and interesting place to visit. You can get to Seattle, or Olympic National Park in just a few hours (with ferry rides). An unforgettable experience, and we would love to come back someday!

We loved the Fauntleroy neighborhood–small, friendly small-town feel but close enough to Seattle for all their various fun things to do. “Our” house was very comfortable and well-appointed. The five of us had plenty of space and my 17-year-old was thrilled to have the entire basement accommodations to himself. We’ll be back to enjoy your beautiful area.

We had a great stay! The location is amazing, and the neighborhood, beautiful. The skylights makes the place really airy and well lit. Would recommend that you bring an eye mask if you’re a person who likes to sleep in, since it gets really bright very early during the summer.

Nice place. Kitchen was nice, had a grill outside. No tv downstairs. Took a bit for the house to cool down in the evening in August. Slightly overgrown willow tree branches at entrance of the property, reminded me of a bead curtain. Semi private with wildlife. Overall, we liked it.

There were a few glitches at the start of our stay, like the outdoor cushions still missing and one of the ovens not working, but these things were taken care of and after that everything went smoothly. The management communicated quite well, we just had to be clear about what needed doing. The location is simply breathtaking, the view is stunning and expansive . The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. One warning – there are deer EVERYWHERE, and they are very lackadaisical about humans. It was fawn season and there were does and fawns all over the place. Charming, but when driving one must be hyper alert. I loved seeing the fawns every day. There was also a semi-resident bald eagle in the neighborhood. We’ll be going back for sure.

Great spot for a quiet, peaceful vacation with family and/or friends. House is quite large, very new, and photos understate how nice it is. We stayed here for one night and will be back for sure. We come to the trail every year or two and this is our first time staying here. This was great. For just two people there is more than enough room. Super easy check in. Close to several restaurants and lots of great bourbon spots. Also close to a great bookstore and a local artist store where they have so many different things. We will be back for sure and there are even some secret surprises at this location that will please any bourbon lover. Great hosts and great location. 10/10

Great location and great house if you have little ones! We were just a block away from Bus route 5 that drops you directly at Pikes Place, Space Needle, etc. and while you have to park on the street we never had to go far for a spot for our large SUV. The house has pretty much everything you need for toddlers including pack and play, toys, stools for bathroom, and kitchenware. The backyard is lovely and has toys as well for kids to use and run around. Kitchen is stocked allowing us to cook several dinners at home with our finds from the market. Definitely recommend staying here!

Great place and super friendly & responsive host! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend if you enjoy the outdoors and exploring. Only reason We didn’t give 5 stars was that we found it lacking in the kitchen with dishes and cookware for a party of 7/8 of us. It would be fine for a smaller party. I also didn’t realize the house didn’t have a dishwasher either, but it was my own fault for not checking on this.

Everything was great for our trip to Seattle! Would definitely recommend the home to others. The home was so nice/updated and the check -in/check-out process went smoothly. When you walked in the front door there was a big open area – including the dinning room, kitchen, and living space. Upstairs had the two bedrooms and then two bathrooms. Then up more stairs to the roof top. Down stairs had another bathroom and living space/pull out couch for more sleeping area. We had more than enough room for 4 adults (one couple and two singles). Can’t think of anything else that I wish we had/needed. Thanks for a great trip!

Chose this place because the price was great, and it’s in the middle of so much. Short walk to campus, short walk downtown, and you have the PeaceHealth bike rack across the street. The place was as advertised, and while it definitely had signs of a well used property, it was exactly what was needed for the trip. It definitely depends on who is staying there at the same time as we had other guests that were a bit loud at times and did not seem to clean up in the kitchen

Recreation is a beautiful home which met all of our needs. Even without air conditioning, we were cool enough. We can’t make it in Illinois without air conditioning. The large beautiful trees made 85 degrees feel more like a mild 70 degrees. The home was spotless and everything so fresh. I wanted to bring my cleaning service with me but, glad that I didn’t. Recreation even allowed me to bring my granddaughter over with us because her place would have been too small. We really enjoyed ourselves and the diversity of the Seattle area. Can’t wait to visit again.

If you don’t stay at The St. Clair, you will be missing out. It is just about a 30 minute drive from Lexington so you’re close enough to the big city but staying in a small town where there is everything you need within a 2 block radius…food, drinks, and gift shopping. The Howser is a tavern located on the 1st floor. Guest have access to the most spectacular speak easy. The housekeeping did not disappoint when we asked for a new set of towels, they were brought up within the hour of the call. When looking for a stay that is convenient to the distilleries in the Frankfort area, this is the place you want.

We loved this Airbnb! Location was perfect, kitchen and bath were well stocked, they even left Fiji water and granola snacks for us upon checkin. Everything was clean, plenty of laundry soap, lots of fluffy towels and a very comfortable bed. Plenty of natural light with the skylights throughout (bring a sleep mask during the summer otherwise the light will wake you up at 5am!) and a nice deck to have your morning coffee. North Queen Anne is a quiet safe neighborhood close to Fremont Bridge and Seattle Pacific University. WiFi was also super fast. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Very beautiful house, comfortable beds and luxury showers and tub. Loved the hot tub and game room and views. It was a short walk down the road to the ocean. You could not cut straight across though because of private property. Not a huge deal just something to be aware of. Sand Toys and camping chairs available for the beach but no beach towels. For food, stop by Bennett’s fish shack for amazing fish and chips and more! Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Westport and thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

Most comfortable bed we’ve had in an air bnb! Appreciated the patio and ready to stream Roku. Walkable to great shops, cafes, etc. Just know there are steep hills! We were fine, but some folks might have a harder time. There were usually Lime scooters and bikes around which made it easier for going to get groceries.

Spectacular view of Puget Sound, mountain, nearby Islands from interior of cabin and on very nice deck, but NOT on ocean. In our mind, perhaps more interesting than the Pacific Ocean. Absolutely beautiful wood interior cabin. Peaceful and private. Excellent yoga retreat. Short walk to private beach, great place to put in kayaks, etc., great low tide walking beach, not ADA, with a down hill approach and a few stairs. Cabin is well appointed with everything one might need, including fine quality kitchenware. Very clean. Centrally located on Whidbey, with multiple recreation areas nearby, as well as local history to explore. An abundance of shops in Langley, Coupeville, etc. An active local arts scene. Beds were ok. More than we anticipated paying, but prop manager allowed three night minimum stay, rather than five. We would return.
